  I was nervous and didn't know what will happen, but when I visited a clean facility with nice decor, I confirmed quickly and they did an excellent job of communicating, and I had successful colonoscopy by Dr.Elgadi .   Today I received a letter in the mail informing me that I had an appointment for a pre-op consult with one of the doctors coming up in a month.

My GP gave me a referral to this place a year or two ago for a screening as I have a slightly elevated risk and need regular screenings.  After quite some time had passed with no appointment, my puzzled GP suggested I give them a call to make sure I was in the queue.  I've made these routine inquiries before and it's never been an issue.  When I called OGI they were quite indignant that I had the nerve to reach out and pretty much told me to get stuffed.  Maybe the Drs. and Nurses are amazing, I don't know, but the "vibe" was all wrong and I just wasn't comfortable dealing with them.

I booked an appointment with a private clinic the next day, my first time ever,  and was screened within 72 hrs.  They were responsive, courteous, and efficient.  It turns out that it's a good thing I did.

Don't trust your health to places like this if you don't have to.

  I had a colonoscopy completed at OGI on October 10, 2023.  Let me tell you; WOW what incredible staff.  Due to my anxiety issues and fear of the whole exposure of myself, I cancelled many (many) previous appointments.  But at age 68 and colon cancer running in the family; it was time to face all fears.  Dr. Tambay and all staff that were part of my procedure were awesome.  Such care and compassion and understanding of my fears.  I was made to feel comfortable.  Nurses, front desk,  etc should be given medals of honor for all that they do for us the patients that get checked into this facility.  Thanking you soo much for all that you did for me.   I had a colonoscopy today. Professional service from start to finish! All staff from the receptionist to the nursing staff the anesthesiologist and of course the doctor presented a calm, supportive and positive environment. Thank you for making an uncomfortable procedure comfortable!
