After successfully installing ThreeDify Designer Pro/Standard, I can not find ThreeDify Designer inside Microsoft Word or Excel. Why?You must also install ThreeDify Office Designer.

After successfully installing ThreeDify Designer Pro/Standard 2.7.5, it crashes on startup. Am I missing something?It is a known problem with Version 2.7.5 and is now fixed in Verison 3.0.1. Please upgrade to the new version.

When I try to import a big 3DS file, ThreeDify Designer 2.7.5 hangs forever. Is this a bug?Yes, ThreeDify Designer 2.7.5's 3DS importer uses recursion to parse the 3DS file. Consequently, the program stack may overflow if the file is big. This issue has been fixed in Version 3.0.1.

Does ThreeDify Designer load and display textures from the 30+ supported gaming formats in version 2.7.5?Not in Verison 2.7.5. Texture support is available starting from Version 3.0.1.

How do I raise a bug if I find one?

Does ThreeDify Designer work in Microsoft Office on MAC OS?ThreeDify Designer does not work on MAC OS. But it will work on any Windows OS running on a MAC.

What applications in Microsoft Office are supported by ThreeDify Office Designer?ThreeDify Office Designer v3.0.1 officially supports MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint only. Support for Access, Outlook and InfoPath is untested. So use at your own risks.

What CAD file formats does ThreeDify Designer support?Starting with Version 2.7.5, ThreeDify Designer can import IGES & STEP (in conjunction with the free IGES/STEP importer), and DXF & STL files. It can also export DXF and STL files.

My 3D data are stored in a proprietary file format, can I import them into ThreeDify Designer?Not without creating an import plug-in. ThreeDify provides free of charge its import/export plug-in SDK, you can easily create a plug-in yourself if you are a fairly competent C++ developer. We can also develop one for you on demand as a professional service.

Can .asd files saved by ThreeDify Designer Pro/Standard be opened with ThreeDify Office Designer and vice versa?Yes, the .asd files created by ThreeDify Designer Pro/Standard or ThreeDify Office Designer can be opened by either of the program. They are interchangeable.

Can I create 3D objects directly from data ranges within my Excel worksheet or from data tables within my Word document?No. ThreeDify Office Designer is designed to create and embed 3D objects within MS Office applications and documents. It does not turn your worksheet or document data into 3D objects. But you may try ThreeDify Excel Grapher for that purpose.

Can ThreeDify Designer objects saved within a MS Office (Word or Excel) file be opened by my peers on another computer?Yes, as long as your peers have both MS Office and ThreeDify Designer Pro/Standard installed. They do not need to have ThreeDify Office Designer installed to view a Office (Word or Excel) file with embedded ThreeDify Designer objects. The embedded ThreeDify Designer objects will show up within the Office application even if they only have ThreeDify Designer Pro/Standard installed. If they also install ThreeDify Office Designer, they can create object property list in the Office application and perform other ThreeDify Designer operations specific to ThreeDify Office Designer.
