ThreeDify announces OptimCut cutoff grade optimizer
September 6, 2010 - ThreeDify announces ThreeDify OptimCut, a new strategic mine planning optimization tool that is specifically designed to determine optimum and practical yearly mine-mill cutoff grades and production rates. OptimCut uses an established dynamic programming algorithm based on the principle of optimality as applied to the cutoff grade problem: "if you don't realize the highest returns possible with what you have left in the deposit, you would not have made the highest return possible with the entire deposit."
In addition to featuring the core optimization algorithm that determines year-over-year cutoff grades and production rates, work is also under the way to add GUI based tools to OptimCut that would allow mine planners to make as-needed adjustments to the optimum solution for practicality.
ThreeDify OptimCut is scheduled to be released before end of November, 2010. For detailed information, please refer to our OptimCut web page under Solutions | Industrial Solutions web site menu. Interested parties are also welcome to contact ThreeDify through our web contact form.
