ThreeDify Excel Grapher v2.8.3 just released! This major upgrade adds:

  • Wireframe Overlay rendering mode that greatly enhances the image quality of gridded meshes
  • Real-time graph update on cell value change (for licensed users only)
  • Other minor ehancements and bug fixes

For existing Grapher customers, please note the following:

  • v2.8.x requires a different license than all previous versions.
  • Customers who bought a 1-Year Upgrade Package which has not yet expired are entitled to a free upgrade. You need to contact ThreeDify Support by email to claim your free upgrade license.
  • Customers who puschased a version older than 2.8.0, but did not purchase a 1-Year Upgrade Package, must purchase a 1-Year Upgrade Package to upgrade to this new release.

Notes:

  • ThreeDify Excel Grapher (aka, AsdGraph3D Addin) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by CNET Editors!
  • Older Grapher versions will crash on machines with hardware-enforced DEP. If you experience crash on bringing up Input/Output dialog or Add/Update Graph Series dialog, you should upgrade to this version immediately.

How to install: You should uninstall previous version of ThreeDify Grapher or AsdGraph3D Excel Addin (if any) prior to installing this version. After download, just run XLGrapher-vX.X.X-Setup.exe. It will create a new group named "ThreeDify Excel Grapher x.x.x" under the default "ThreeDify" program group (or "J & L Associates" group for users with a previous version lower than 1.5).

On a Windows OS other than Vista or Windows 7,  you should also open a command prompt window and execute the following command under your "Documents and Settings Folder" (e.g., C:\Documents and Settings): "del /s /a:h /a:-h *.exd". For Vista or Windows 7 users, this command shall be executed under "c:\users\#username#\" folder, where "username" is the name of the user currently logged on. Before doing this, please use Windows Task Manager to make sure no Excel session is open.

Three sample Excel data files are also included in the distribution. they are accessible from the "ThreeDify Grapher x.x.x" group, i.e., from "Start | Programs | ThreeDify | ThreeDify Grapher x.x.x". One of the sample files, Sample.xls, also includes a VBA script (which means you should enable macros when asked) that demonstrates most of the ThreeDify Grapher scripting API.
